What Training is required for a Florida Auxiliary State Trooper?

Florida State Statutes and the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission require that every member of the FHPA receive law enforcement training, from state certified instructors, at an approved training center. The Florida Highway Patrol currently requires that Auxiliary Troopers undergo a minimum of 364 hours of training by FHP approved or Florida Highway Patrol Academy instructors.

The Patrol covers all tuition costs for the approved applicant and supplies all equipment and uniforms used by an Auxiliary State Trooper.
